What usually happens in a comic book store is idle discussions about different things in todays culture. for instance while i was in the comic book store a customer and a clerk were talking about rappers; and how all of them would talk about how "gangsta" they are and how much of a pimp they are. the customer said "thats why i don't listen to rap anymore".
My definition of culture is the the things that a society value as good or excellent during a given time period. And cultures vary from place to place. One thing that will help understand another culture is the setting, the political situation, geography, a civilization's history, and the masses overall way of thinking. Everything around us is part of our culture really; from the things we eat to the clothes we wear, even the houses we live in and the beds we wake up in every morning. Culture even effects our language and how we talk and use words eve day.
As far as intercultural communication goes, people usually talk about what is happening in there time, and whatever they are talking about is apart of the culture. really all it takes to understand an another intercultural communication is to put yourself in the others shoes, honestly if someone gets hit, they will naturally feel angry, sad, embarrass, and would want to get back the one who hit them. If a leader of a society does something wrong and upsets the masses, the masses would want to get the leader in question out of his or her position. It's honestly not that hard to understand someone if you know what they value. If some loves building things and spends a lot of time and effort into making things like sculptures, it's only natural that if one of their sculptures were to break, the sculptor would be angry.
